Stacey Soloman – Celebrity Mum of the Year

Foxy Bingo, the top internet bingo site have announced that Stacey Soloman will be their Celebrity Mum of the Year for 2011. Stacey has beaaten off some stiff competition from the likes of Holly Willoughby, Kym Marsh, Amanda Holden and a number of others to win the title. Kerry Katona was also in the running ? really !. Foxy said Stacey had won as she was ‘in the spotlight for all the right reasons’, it’s nice to see commonsense prevail for once.

Stacey shot to fame on the X Factor in 2009 when she impressed Simon Cowell with her version of ‘What a Wonderful World’ at her first audition. She survived bootcamp, the judges houses and made it into the final twelve. She gave us plenty of laughs during the live shows and didn’t seem to realise how good she was. The single mum from Dagenham was the last girl standing in the competition and came third after Olly Murs with Joe McElderry the winner [where is he. ?]

While winner Joe may have faded from view, Stacey certainly hasn’t, she has made many guest appearances on T.V. and joined the other finalists on the X Factor Live tour of the U.K. and Ireland. In series 7 of the X Factor she appeared as a presenter drumming up support for the eventual winner Matt Cardle in Colchester and we’re sure to see plenty more of her now she’s Foxy’s Celebrity Mum.

Stacey entered the I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here contest in 2010 and became the bookies favourite before the line up of celebs was even confirmed. The Essex girl became a firm favourite with the other contestants and the public. Sharing the jungle camp with Shaun Ryder, Gillian [aduki bean] McKeith and Linford Christie couldn’t have been easy but her good humour, easy smile and lots of good old fashioned common sense saw her crowned Queen of the Jungle, which goes to prove the Great British Public get it right sometimes.

A single mum with one son,two year old Zachary, Stacey looks set to continue her now varied career. She will be helping to promote the recently released film ‘Made in Dagenham ‘ and will be a guest judge on Dancing On Ice in Sheffield, later this year she will be appearing in the Iceland supermarket adverts. Lets hope she leaves some time for singing ! she may not have won X Factor but she had a fabulous voice and for someone who came third in the competition she hasn’t done to badly!.
