A completely unique game to Tombola, blocks is a brand new way to play bingo. Rather than having a card, what you get is a 6*6 grid. Each space is taken up by a numbered block that is one of six colours. There are only two ways to win this game. You either eliminate all the blocks of any one colour or you score the highest points. There is a winner for each.

Scoring points is a novel way to win the game. As the blocks fall and land beside each other, any two of the same colour that touch, horizontally or vertically, gives you 20 points. So instantly you rack up points. Once the game begins, the bingo numbers are called as normal. If you match one, it explodes and the blocks above it drop down to fill the space. This both eliminates a block and provides extra chances for scoring points.

What makes this game special is the price. Each player can only play one card. That card can be 10p, 25p, 50p, £1 or £2. The more you play for the higher the prize. So it’s a very level playing field and great for those on a budget.

Rollercoaster

Again this is a twist on traditional bingo. Instead of cards, you buy rollercoaster carriages. Each has five seats and you can only buy a maximum of four. So again, it’s a very level playing field among players.

When the game starts, your seats are all given names. Then the rollercoaster starts up, does a loop and a character falls out. You have to hope they match one of yours and land in a seat. The first person to fill all five seats in one carriage wins!
